The Trustees plus Treasurer form the Steering Group of the Hitchin Counselling Service which oversees the organisational and financial management of the Service. HCS is an entirely voluntary organisation – there are no paid staff and no volunteer expenses. The service offers about 1000 counselling hours annually. HCS has existed for over 25 years and provides long-term professional counselling free of charge to the people of Hitchin and its surrounding villages. Download the Trustee Job Description.

Our counsellors provide free open-ended counselling. You will need to be available one evening a week, either a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
